"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value," Albert Einstein once said. High school graduation is indeed an intimidating moment in one's life; a brand new chapter waiting to be written.
One morning you wake up, feeling utterly grateful for you can still live your high school moments, yet the next morning, you wake up with this surreal feeling, wishing that high school graduation was unreal, that high school graduation was just a figment of your imagination.
Your comments:
I don't think life after high school is as scary as you believe. True, there are many differences between high school with university and working, but it doesn't necessarily mean post-high school people you will meet will be rude and corrupt. The biggest differences between academic and professional world is that you might find some constraint in developing your idea once you work.
At college, you can always apply your idealism to anything you like without having to worry that it might cost you anything. You can always disagree with your lecturer as long as you have the right arguments. It doesn't happen in the professional world. Idealism is something rare because of profit or money rules.
And disagreements with your boss are not encouraged here. But, you are right, as for me, I prefer the academic world but you will not learn much there. It is only a place to prepare you for the real place of learning: the office.

Why were we attacked? -- Oct. 19, p. 20
I refer to an article titled "Govt urged to respect Ahmadiyah rights," (the Post, Oct. 15). Members of the Ahmadiyah Muslim community are renowned the world over for their attachment to peace.
They are taught from their infancy that they must be law-abiding citizens wherever they live.
Your comments:
I don't know much Ahmadiyah. But if you don't agree with the Islam mainstream, it is better if Ahmadiyah community creates your own religious belief and name.
The words of Islam, Muslim, and prophet Muhammad saw are referring to the one religious faith that is "Islam" for all over the world; in Indonesia, Malaysia, USA, Iran, etc.
It is confusion, if they claim they are Muslim but they are different to the other Muslims.

Dear brother, Islam is Rahmatan Lil' Alamin, a blessing for all creation. It would bring peace and prosperity for all beings living in the world. Islam as Holy Muhammad the prophet's precept has never been to suggest violence and intimidation such as bombing, corruption or thieving.
Actions of some Muslims that violate the teachings of Islam constitute a gross error that stems from Muslims' own lack of knowledge and understanding of Islam.
There is demanding strives to express, clarify and widely, disseminate a true understanding of Islam not only to non-Muslims, but also to Muslims in general.

Breast-feeding is not porn -- Oct. 24, p. 20
The article titled "Live porn aboard an economy train?" (the Post, Oct. 20) displays so many untruths and social stigmas that it's hard to know where to begin.
Your comments:
I'm of the view the many letters published on the Post online version demonstrate a public opinion about who really cares about the sacred duty of a mother in particular and gender in general.

Michelle, I totally agree with your opinion. There is nothing wrong with breast-feeding your child in public and indeed, the suggestion of the article that breastfeeding constitutes as porn is so sickening.
