JAKARTA: Ciseeng office in Bogor has closed an illegal dump site in Kuripan for violating the bylaw amid protests from local residents.
"We have reprimanded the owner, but they still continue to run the site," said Ciseeng district head Barkah Rizaluddin.
"People have long complained of a putrid smell from the site." Canih, a Bogor resident, is reportedly the owner of the 1,000-square meter dump site, which has been operating for five months. - JP
