The House of Representatives’ Commission III on justice and human rights will summon the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday.

“We will be discussing the KPK’s performance and its evaluation,” commission chairman Benny K. Harman, from the Democratic Party, told reporters at the House in Senayan, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Benny said the commission would also schedule a session to discuss certain issues, specifically those related to the alleged attempts by the police and the Attorney General’s Office to weaken the KPK.

The alleged fabrications were made known to the public after a transcript depicting the plot circulated in the media. The actual recording of the transcript was then played before the Constitutional Court on Tuesday.

“We will listen to the recording as well, if necessary,” he said.

Benny said the commission planned to summon the National Police as well, but he said the exact date had not yet been set.
