Fact-finding team chairman Adnan Buyung Nasution said Tuesday his team would verify whether President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s letter to Anggoro Widjojo, mentioned in a controversial recording, existed.
"We are checking whether the alleged letter was written," Adnan said.
He asked the public to remain patient while waiting for a result from the fact-finding team.
The controversial recording heard at the Constitutional Court mentioned a number of high-ranking officials, including Yudhoyono.
The information contained in the recording is expected to uncover why the National Police want to jail two Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deputies Chandra M. Hamzah and Bibit Samat Rianto.
