Anggodo Widjojo met on Thursday with the fact-finding team led by Adnan Buyung Nasution, requesting protection over his safety following the public hearing of his controversial wiretapped recordings to frame the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deputies Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah.
"I am here to ask for protection over my safety because I am afraid that people [instead of the court] will try me," Anggodo said. " I am also afraid of KPK."
Anggodo denied that he left the National Police headquarters, saying he had slept there for the past two days.
"I have been questioned by police for the past two days and I slept in the National Police headquarters," he said. “My status is still an ordinary people [not yet a suspect].”
He guaranteed that he would follow all legal actions taken by police.
