Death to the police: Student activists from the Indonesian Muslim Student Action Network carry an effigy of a shrouded corpse during their anticorruption rally in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday. They demanded the President suspend the National Police chief and the attorney general following the alleged framing of Corruption Eradication Commission deputy chairmen. JP/Suherdjoko

If there is indeed a case these protesters are absolutely right to speak out..it must however be proven and their protests and the action of others will hopefully force the government to deal with the case appropriately. Furthermore, POLRI's role as 'judge, jury and executioner' in this so-called modern nation, and the contentment to shoot dead any and all terror suspects without any effort to detain them is another cause for serious overhaul of police policies and M.O. Such protests should be taken seriously and people should not give up in speaking up.
