President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Thursday his Cabinet would revitalize the fertilizer and sugar industries to ensure the availability of supply and make sure prices remain affordable.
“The financing [and] technology of those industries, building new factories, increasing factories’ capacities and gas supply must be ensured within 100 days,” he said.
He cited that world sugar prices had continued to increase, leaving no choice but to raise the country's sugar supply.
“If our sugar stock at home increases, the price will remain affordable for the public,” he said.
