Your comments on the arrest of the suspended deputy leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra Hamzah, by police. The pair were released after a voice recording revealing an alleged conspiracy to criminalize them was played at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday.

The snowball effect saw this case getting bigger and bigger, but now it is the time to reform the police. It is no secret that from villages to the capital, many police officers are corrupt.

They behave as the law itself, acting as prosecutors and executor-judges, with guns and jails serving to make money through blackmail and bribery. Corruption in RI will never be brought under control while the hands of the law (police) proclaim themselves hungry crocodiles (buaya lapar).

In fact, most Indonesian policemen are parasites and predatory people. Gangsters behind uniforms and guns.

I hope Shakespeare will pardon me for deliberately misquoting his immortal words as: "Something is rotten in the state of the republic of Indonesia" (and has been, for a long time). May our increasingly recurrent nightmares about "KPK-gate" not become a frightful reality.

Please, please, all good and brave Powers that still fight for justice and human rights, do not hand over that precious recording regarding the "criminalization" of the KPK to the police and the Attorney General's Office, as it may disappear without a trace, just like the missing clause on tobacco in the health bill the lawmakers passed into law last month.

Remember that for those who are cornered, necessity knows no law.

I think the KPK is on the right path, and with it we can find the truth.

All of those shameless Mafiosi involved in the criminalization of Bibit, Chandra and the KPK, should be immediately taken out and shot.

Their continuous expression of opinions through press conferences were not disturbances to the investigation process, but reflections of transparency to the public. I don't think the investigation process should have to depend on the (reactions of) the public, but must depend on the suspects.

It was not logical for police to arrest them for that reason.

It might be the case that in its investigations, the KPK uncovered an involvement of high-ranking police officials or other figures. They were probably conspiring to apprehend Bibit and Chandra, who were carrying out the investigation.

I am totally sure neither of them is guilty.

If what they say about the police trying to undermine the KPK is true, then they have picked the wrong people. From what I heard, Chandra is a decent guy.

No wonder a lot of people support him.

It would be best for police to explain to the public, clearly and transparently, their reasons for arresting Bibit and Chandra, because until now they have failed to provide any solid evidence against them.

The arrest of Bibit and Chandra is a complete sham and yet another indication at just how corrupt the government and especially the national police truly are. The KPK needs the full backing of SBY or else the KPK could collapse in a few months.

I totally agree with the statement, and just like in the Prita case, to voice their concerns people have more trust in Facebook than in the House of Representatives.

The police are so incompetent that some thugs have "taken over" the police's job.

The police have finally proven they have failed to reveal who is in the wrong. As a matter of fact, they arrested the two deputy leaders of the KPK in an attempt to cover up their foolishness.

What a beautiful story this is!

It has become obvious that Bibit and Chandra should not have been detained, and that visits by their lawyer could no longer be restricted.

The longer Bibit and Chandra are detained, the more difficult it will be for the government to allay people's mistrust.
