Attorney General Hendarman Supandji answered a summons by the fact-finding team over an alleged scandal to undermine the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday, arriving at the Presidential Advisory Council office in the morning.
Hendarman came to the office with Assistant Attorney General for Special Crimes Marwan Effendy, and Attorney General's Office (AGO) spokesman Didiek Darmanto and several other AGO officials at around 9 a.m.
The Attorney General, however, was not accompanied by Deputy Attorney General Abdul Hakim Ritonga, who resigned yesterday, and former assistant attorney general for intelligence Wisnu Subroto, whose names were mentioned in a recorded telephone conversation with Anggodo Widjojo β a brother of graft suspect Anggoro Widjojo β discussing a plot to frame KPK deputy chiefs in criminal cases.
βThe team will summon Ritonga for clarification about the recordings later,β he told awaiting journalists.
KPK deputies Chandra Hamzah and Bibit Samad Rianto have been named suspects in bribery and power abuse cases in relation to Anggoro.
The Constitutional Court played the wiretapped recordings earlier this week to the public.
Having come under public scrutiny for their alleged role in the plot to frame the KPK leaders, Ritonga and National Police Detective Chief Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji have tendered their resignation.
