Buildings sealed for breaching permits

JAKARTA: The Central Jakarta Building Supervision subagency (P2B) sealed 10 houses, which had been converted to business premises on Jl. HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng on Thursday.
Among the buildings are Izzi Pizza restaurant, Lontoh and Kailimang law office, Impressions Body Care, Baron Galery, Cemara 6 Galery, Barbara Salon and four others.
Izzi Pizza chef Deden said the restaurant had been open since 2002 and employed around 30 people. "We are confused as this building was previously rented by Sari Kuring restaurant *and no action was taken then*," he said as quoted by vivanews.com.
Head of the subagency Wasil Thaib said the 10 buildings were among 91 buildings that violated regulations and his subagency would be sealing the other 81 buildings, 10 buildings every week. - JP
