President, VP select deputy minister candidates

Vice President Boediono arrived at Cipanas Presidential Palace in the West Java town of Bogor on Saturday to help President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono select candidates for deputy minister and special staff posts.
The President also summoned Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa for the meeting, kompas.com reported.
No official statement was immediately available concerning the substance of the meeting.
Yudhoyono left Jakarta for the palace after performing Friday’s prayer.
Presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said earlier Yudhoyono’s choice of deputy ministers would go to individuals who were considered capable of helping push internal reform and clearing obstacles to deploy the central government's policies.
Reports said the deputies would help the ministers of finance, trade, agriculture, foreign affairs and heath.
