A number of noted local musicians and public figures said they would join an anti-corruption rally at Jakarta's Hotel Indonesia traffic circle on Sunday morning.
Tempointeraktif.com reported that among the musicians that would support the rally were composer Erwin Gutawan, his daughter Gita Gutawa, Fariz Rustam Munaf, Melly Goeslaw, Oppie Andaresta and players from the popular Slank rock group.
Slank's manager Bunda Iffet said that Slank would continue to support the anti-corruption movement, and therefore, the Slank musicians would not miss this event.
"If not everyone of us to help them (anti-corruption fighters), who else?" she asked.
The rally today, titled "Indonesia Hebat Tanpa Korupsi, Negeriku Cintaku" (Indonesia is great without corruption, my country, my love.), is to support the Corruption Eradication Commission in its current conflict with the National Police.
Meanwhile, former KPK deputy chairman Erry Riyana Hardjapamekas said that he and his family members also would join the rally to give moral supports to anti-corruption
fighters.
"We would join the healthy walk and at the same time give support to the anti-corruption movement," Erry said.
