The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has yet to protect Ari Muladi, a key witness in an alleged plot to frame Corruption Eradication Commission leaders, citing incomplete administrative requirements.
Head of the LPSK Abdul Haris Semendawai said Monday that Ari had submitted a dossier on his status as a suspect in a bribery case implicating suspended KPK deputy chiefs Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah.
However, Haris said the agency deemed Ari was unable to prove his statements that he had received physical and psychological threats.
“He is afraid of being named a suspect,” Abdul told kompas.com after a plenary meeting.
Haris added the agency had requested a psychological examination of Ari. (ewd)
