Finance Minister Sri Mulyani announced Tuesday a projection of the 2010 state budget which might total Rp 949.7 trillion (US$100.9 billion), up by 9 percent from this year's budget worth Rp 871 trillion.
State revenue from taxes in 2010 is set at Rp 742.7 trillion, which is 14 percent higher than Rp 652 trillion expected this year.
Non-tax revenue, meanwhile, is expected to decline from Rp 218 trillion predicted this year to Rp 205.4 trillion in 2010.
Fuel subsidy is expected to hit Rp 68.7 billion in 2010 while this year it is predicted to reach only Rp 52.4 trillion.
"I hope the disbursement of next year’s state budget can start in the first week of 2010," Mulyani told a hearing with House of Representatives’ Commission XI on finance. (bbs)
