JAKARTA: Hundreds of PT Carrefour Indonesia workers rallied Monday in front of the retail giant's headquarters in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, to demand a joint cooperation agreement between the company and workers.

"Abolish the contract-based system. The joint cooperation agreement is a must," said Carrefour Indonesia Workers Union chairman Abdul Rachman, as quoted by kompas.com.

He said the call was made to ensure full protection and care of the workers, given the company's 11-year presence in the country. - JP
