Air France, KLM to open Amsterdam-Bali route

DENPASAR: French-based airline Air France, together with KLM from the Netherlands, will open an Amsterdam-Denpasar route via Singapore, starting Dec. 7, 2009.
I Made Erwin Suryadarma, spokesman of the Denpasar mayoralty office, told reporters after receiving representatives, including Axel Colen, from the two airline companies on Tuesday morning.
The companies will use their Boeing 300s to ply the Amsterdam-Denpasar route three times a week. Each flight will carry about 400 passengers. Currently, European airlines have to transit via Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. - JP
