Team grills the investigators of Nasruddin's case

A government-sanctioned fact-finding team questioned investigators from the National Police and the Jakarta Police who are handling the murder case of the Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, the former director of the state-owned firm PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran.

Seven investigators under the command of Snr. Comr. M. Iriawan arrived at the Presidential Advisor Council's building to provide clarification about the case that also involves the former chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Antasari Azhar.

“The Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri has directly requested that investigators explain the investigation of Antasari to the fact-finding team,” head of the team Adnan Buyung Nasution told kompas.com.

On Monday, officer Wiliardi Wizar testified the police had framed Antasari in the case. Wiliardi also admitted the investigators had pressured him at the police office.

Both Antasari and Wiliardi are suspects in the case.

The police, however, denied Wiliardi's statements by showing videos of the police questioning of Antasari and Wiliardi, in which they both appeared relaxed.  (ewd)
