President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a closed-door meeting with Malaysian
Prime Minister Najib Razak at the latter's office in Putrajaya, Malaysia,
on Thursday morning.
Yudhoyono was accompanied only by presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal,
while Razak was accompanied by several aides in the meeting that lasted less
than half an hour, Antara state news agency reported.
Yudhoyono and Razak then held a meeting with members of the bilateral working
group known as the Eminent Persons Group (EPG), which was set up to ease
misunderstandings and to find solutions to problems involving the two nations.
The Indonesian representatives were represented by Try Sutrisno, Musni Umar,
Des Alwi Abubakar and Wahyuni Bahar.
Both leaders will later hold bilateral talks after which both will attend a
press conference.
After the two-day Malaysia visit,
Yudhoyono will head to Singapore
on Thursday afternoon and hold bilateral talks with Singaporean President
Sellapan Rama Nathan and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as
a private talk with Singapore's
Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
On Nov. 13, the President is scheduled to deliver a speech at the APEC CEO summit,
and then attend the APEC leaders' meeting.
