Indonesia's Fran/Pia stun Korean top seeds

JAKARTA: Indonesian mixed doubles Fran Kurniawan Teng and Pia Zebadiah Bernadet upset top seeds Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung of South Korea at the Hong Kong Super Series on Thursday.

Fran and Pia defeated the Korean pair in 21-19, 21-19 in 34 minutes, and will face seventh seeds Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Vita Marissa in all-Indonesian clash on Friday.

Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir were also through with a 21-19, 23-25, 21-17 win over Ko Sung-hyun and Ha Jung-eun. - JP
