JAKARTA: Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir defeated fellow Indonesians Hendra Apriadi Gunawan and Vita Marissa to advance to the finals at the Hong Kong Super Series badminton tournament on Saturday.
The mixed doubles' third seeds, who beat the same opponents to secure the French Super Series early this year, won 21-14, 21-13 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
They will face Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Kostiuczyk of Poland in the final.
Indonesia had hopes for another title in the men's doubles with Alven Yulianto and Hendra Apriadi Gunawan were still playing Jung Jae-sung and Lee Yong-dae in their semifinal matches.
The winners will take on Lars Paaske and Jonas Rasmussen in the finals. - JP
