JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is questioning Ari Muladi over a report that allegedly outlines details of an obstruction of the antigraft body's efforts to investigate a case of bribery at the Forestry Ministry.

Kompas.com reported that Ari arrived at the antigraft office on Monday afternoon and said he wanted to clarify certain facts to investigators.

Ari, however, did not elaborate on what he wanted to clarify.

One of Ari's lawyers, Petrus Salestinus, said his client had come in regard to the report from the NGO, People's Voice Defenders Team for Anti-Criminalization, over alleged obstructions by Anggoro Widjojo, David Angga Widjojo and Putranefo from PT Masaro Radiokom.

They had allegedly obstructed the antigraft body's efforts to solve a graft case at the ministry that also involves people within the company.

"The name of Ari Muladi was mentioned in the report," Petrus said. - JP
