National Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri said he will respond to the call for action against chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji in connection with the alleged plot to frame antigraft leaders Saturday.

Bambang said after a meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Wednesday he would study a report from the presidential fact-finding team’s to determine the necessary action against Susno.

"[Yudhoyono] has told me to immediately respond to the report. We will provide [our answer] on Saturday," Bambang said.

"We’re still considering action against Susno."

The team recommended charging anyone, including several police officials, involved in the alleged plot against Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deputies Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah.

Susno was reinstated as the chief detective Tuesday, after his suspension to facilitate an inquiry into his alleged involvement in the saga by the fact-finding team.
