ATARAM: Thousands of people, including civil servants, students, police and military officers jointly planted 11,000 seeds of various trees on 10 hectares of critical land in Gunung Sasak area, Gerung district, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara on Wednesday.
Regency spokesman Ispan Junaidi said the activity aimed to regenerate areas of damaged forest.
Junaidi revealed 16,000 hectares of 42,000 hectares forest in the regency were classed as damaged or critical.
