JAKARTA: The Kompas-Gramedia Group launched the non-fiction National Geographic Kids Indonesia magazine at SeaWorld Indonesia in North Jakarta on Thursday.
The magazine's editor-in-chief, Sigit Triwahyu, said the monthly magazine, popularly referred to as NG Kids, aimed to raise children's interest in nature and culture and inspire them to explore their surroundings.
"We want to make them enjoy reading without them realizing that they are learning something," he said, adding that 80 percent of the content was from abroad while the remaining 20 percent was local.
The first edition of the magazine, published this month, is on sale in Gramedia book stores for Rp 20,000. - JP
