JAKARTA: Traffic police have recovered 1 kilogram of nails allegedly spread by criminals along Jl. Gatot Subroto in Central Jakarta.
Using a car equipped with a magnet, police officers conducted a sweep along the busy road.
Second Insp. Ganda Aritonang was quoted by news portal vivanews.com as saying that the sweep was part of a routine traffic police follow-up of complaints from motorists about the nails.
Police have called on the public to immediately inform the police's Traffic Management Center at 021-5276001 or via SMS to 1717 if they see anyone spreading nails. -JP
