State prosecutors on Monday delayed reading their indictment for defendant Daniel Daen Sabon after he failed to attend a court session to solve the murder case of former director of state-owned firm PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran Nasrudin Zulkarnaen.
Daniel is standing for the trial at the Tangerang District Court for his alleged role in the murder case. During previous sessions, he also did not turn up for hearing the indictment.
Prosecutor Riyadi said that he had informed the defandant on Friday so as he might be present at the court session. No reasons were revealed for Daniel's absence, tempointeraktif.com has reported.
Presiding Judge Muhammad Asnun said the court would give a last chance for the prosecutors on Nov. 30 to read their indictment.
Daniel is suspected to be one of the executors who killed Nasrudin in March after the latter finished playing golf in Tangerang. The case also involves former chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Antasari Azhar and officer Wiliardi Wizard. (ewd)
