The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently awaiting the results of a Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) audit of Bank Century, to determine whether it will investigate the case further.
“We will talk with the police and the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), but have to wait for the audit results,” KPK spokesman Johan Budi said Tuesday.
The KPK would only investigate a case in accordance with the 2002 Law on the KPK, he said.
“The Century Bank is a private bank and there was state money injected into it. This was why the KPK’s requested in June for the BPK to audit the bank,” Johan said.
The KPK would share its responsibilities with the police and the AGO in investigating cases related to the Century Bank bailout.
