National Scouts chief pushing for new law

JAKARTA: The national scout movement will coordinate with the government and House of Representatives to accelerate the passage of the scout movement bill.

"I have met with the National Education Minister and the chief of the House commission on education to discuss this issue," National Scouts movement chief Azrul Azwar said Monday.

The national movement had made an academic assessment of the bill and held workshops with the House and the government to convince officials and legislators of its importance. - JP
