4,100 S. Tangerang residents have multiple IDs

TANGERANG: More than 4,100 residents of South Tangerang have multiple IDs, an official estimated Tuesday.

Head of South Tangerang's Civil Registration and Population Agency, Zainal Aminin, said based on his agency's study into ID validity, many residents also had Jakarta IDs.

"We will launch sweeps next year from January to March to target residents with multiple IDs," Zainal told news portal tempointeraktif.com.

He said his agency would publicly campaign on the issue of discipline in administrative affairs, urging better administration ahead of the South Tangerang mayoral election scheduled for October next year. -JP
