JAKARTA: When Ambonese singer Glenn Fredly said he was eyeing the international music scene, he was serious about it.
With his new album Lovevolution, Glenn is set to spread his wings as far as Europe and the US.
Glenn’s manager Ika says the new album will be released in Singapore first, for Valentine’s Day. After Singapore, Glenn will be aiming for audiences in the UK and the US.
“It’s going to be an international album — 60 percent of the [album’s] songs are in English,” says Ika of the 12-song album.
Scheduled to be released on Feb. 6, 2010, Lovevolution will also introduce an Ambonese song to the international scene.
In the album, the 34-year-old crooner will also sing some duets with local singers like Shandy and Endah ‘N Rhesa. — JP
