Russian rider wins third stage of Tour d'Indonesia

JAKARTA: Russian Sergey Kudentsov of the Polygon Sweet Nice Surabaya club won the third stage of the Speedy Tour d'Indonesia on Tuesday.

Kudentsov completed the 149.3-km race from Tasikmalaya in West Java to Purwokerto in Central Java in three hours 21 minutes and 24 seconds, Antara reported.

Overall leader Mehdi Sohrabi of the Iranian Tabriz Petrochemical team came second, while Indonesian cyclist Fatahillah Abdullah of the Araya team came third.

Sohrabi maintained the yellow jersey with a total time of 6:03:03.

Wednesday's fourth stage will be the longest race with the route spanning 213.8-kilometers from Purwokerto to Semarang. - JP
