Five more bodies found after ferry capsizes

BATAM: Rescuers discovered five more bodies on Wednesday, four days after a ferry capsized off Riau Islands province, bringing the death toll from the accident 32.

The five bodies were found floating near the site of an accident involving the KM Dumai Express 10, said Tanjung Balai Karimun naval base commander Lt. Col. Erwin.

A total of 255 passengers were rescued when the motor boat sank after being hit by large waves on its way from Batam to Dumai in Riau. The rescuers said the search would continue until Sunday, in hope of finding 16 people still missing. - JP
