JAKARTA: When celebrities start their own businesses, it usually revolves around beauty salons, spas, or cafés. But singer Nafa Urbach chose a different kind of business.
“My husband and I are importing chilled Australian wagyu,” the 29 year old said last week. For several months now, Nafa’s world has no longer just been about music, but also about marbled meat, which has become one of the trendiest culinary delights in Jakarta.
“We supply wagyu to hotels and restaurants. The market is growing,” Nafa added. It seems that Nafa has found a productive way of killing time waiting for her next album to be released.
“I’m still working on the contract and everything. You just have to wait a while for these things [the new album] to happen.” — JP
