Tabriz dominates 4th stage of Tour d'Indonesia

JAKARTA: The Tabriz Petrochemical Team of Iran dominated the fourth stage of Speedy Tour d'Indonesia by taking the podium honors on Wednesday.

Ghader Mizbani clocked five hours 18 minutes and nine seconds to win the longest stage of the tour, which stretches 213.8 km from Purwokerto to Semarang, Central Java.

Fellow Iranian Mehdi Sohrabi trailed in second place, followed by Kazakhstan's Andrey Mizuroj, Antara reported.

Mehdi topped riders' standings with a total of 11 hours 20 minutes and 59 seconds, followed by Mizbani and Mizuroz.

Hari Fitrianto of the Polygon Sweet Nice (PSN) leads the national standings, relegating Didit Purwanto to second place.

On Thursday, the tour from Jakarta to Bali, covering a 1,513-kilometer route, will resume on Thursday with the 138.8-km fifth stage to Yogyakarta. - JP
