Another 5.3-magnitude quake hit Waingapu in East Nusa Tenggara, the third quake in the area on Saturday.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that the latest quake hit at 11:25 a.m., with its epicenter located at 166 kilometer southwest of Waingapu at 50 kilometers beneath the surface.
Earlier on the day, an earthquake measuring also 5.3 on the Richter scale shook the area at 07:04 a.m., with its epicenter located at 188 kilometer southwest of Waingapu at 25 kilometers beneath the surface.
Earlier this year, a tectonic earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale shook Kupang, the capital of the province. No casualties was reported in the incident.
