Garuda Masters sees replay of last year's tennis finals

JAKARTA: Last year's men's and women's singles finals at the Garuda Indonesia Tennis Masters will be rerun on Sunday.

Women's singles defending champion Lavinia Tananta will be facing last year's runner up Ayu Fani Damayanti, after Lavinia beat senior player Romana Tedjakusuma 6-0, 6-4 and Ayu defeated Cynthia Melita 6-2, 6-0 on Saturday.

The men's singles finals on Sunday will also recast a match between defending champion Christopher Rungkat and Nesa Arta. Christopher won 6-0, 6-3 over Sunu Wahyu Trijati in a Saturday's match, while Nesa beat Elbert Sie 6-3, 6-2. - JP
