The Wahidin Sudirohusodo hospital is currently treating a tourist from the Netherlands who tested positive to the H1N1 virus.

The hospital spokesman Khalid Saleh said Monday the tourist was diagnosed with the virus based on a blood test.

“We immediately placed her in a special treatment room after we discovered she was infected with the virus,” Khalid told The Jakarta Post.

The 34-year-old tourist has been receiving medical treatment at the hospital since Wednesday. Previously, she was treated at the Stella Maris Hospital.

Khalid said that she had been suffering from a high fever and cough.

He added that she had yet to show any signs of recovery despite receiving medical assistance.

The tourist and her friends visited the Tana Toraja historical and cultural site a few days ago. As soon as she arrived, she fell ill with a fever and was rushed to the Stella Maris Hospital. She was then taken to Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital.
