MAKASSAR: A 34-year old Dutch tourist is being intensively treated at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo hospital in Makassar, South Sulawesi, for H1N1 infection, a health official said Monday.

Khalid Saleh, spokesman for the hospital's infectious diseases handling team, said she had been declared positive with the H1N1 virus based on medical and laboratory checkups on her blood samples.

CG was admitted to the hospital on Nov. 25, 2009 after being transferred from the Stella Maris hospital in Makassar, where she had been for three days, Khalid said. - JP
