JAKARTA: The Indonesian Sepak Takraw Association (PSTI) is looking to bag at least two gold medals at the SEA games.

Indonesia will send 17 athletes to compete in the competition which offers eight gold medals.

"Thailand will be the toughest contender. Nonetheless, we will not be discouraged by their reputation," PSTI Chairman Basri Sidehabi was quoted by Antara on the sidelines of opening the National Championships at the Sumantri Brojonegoro Sport Stadium in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Monday.

The event from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4 features participants from 25 provinces.

At the King's Cup World Sepak Takraw Championship in Thailand in July, the Indonesian came a close second to the host nation, winning three gold medals with Thailand collecting four. - JP
