Lawyers tell judge to completely acquit Prita

TANGERANG: Team of lawyers asked the panel of judges to acquit Prita Mulyasari, 32, of all defamation charges from Omni International Hospital in its 178-page defense statement at Tangerang District Court on Wednesday.

Slamet Yuwono, head of the team, said that there was no evidence to corroborate charges that Prita had intentionally dispersed her email containing her complain on the hospital's poor service.

The lawyers also asked the court to rehabilitate Prita's image.

Prosecutor Riyadi asked the court to give him one week to prepare his reply. The next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 9. - JP
