Several Batavia Air passengers were injured on Thursday from jumping out of the plane after assuming that the plane was having engine trouble at Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar.
The injured were immediately rushed to the Sanglah hospital.
Ngurah Rai Airport Commander Lt. Col. Aldrin P. Mongan said the Batavia Air plane did not skid off runway, but it had 'a little incident' with its engine.
"There was a blast-like sound which shook the plane when the second engine was turned on. This scared people," he said.
