JAKARTA: National Education Minister M. Nuh said Thursday the government would continue with the national examinations as scheduled despite objections from the public.
"We made this decision to give certainty to the people," he said.
He said the government welcomed any feedback to improve the national examinations.
In reviewing the 2005 government regulation on the national exams, the Supreme Court issued a verdict recently that the regulation was against the 2002 education system law but it did not set a deadline for the government to stop the national exams. - JP
