JAKARTA: A movement to pitch in for Prita Mulyasari, a housewife found guilty of defaming Omni International Hospital in a civil suit and facing damages of Rp 204 million, is gathering steam.
Donors have used social networking sites Facebook and Twitter to spread information on how to help the mother of two.
Some volunteered their spaces as money collection posts while others spread the call to send the money to the hospital in coins.
A number of celebrities have also offered their support. In her Twitter account, violinist Mayla-ffayza said she would donate coins she had collected over two years. Author Dewi Lestari also reportedly donated. - JP
