A number of Golkar Party members from the Clean Golkar Wing (KGB) have requested Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati name corrupt officials and politicians.

“If Sri Mulyani has information on Golkar Party members who committed corrupt practices, we ask her to give it to us so we can deal with them,” KGB head Zainal Bintang told Antara news agency on Saturday.

Zainal and other KGB leaders, including Ferry Mursyidan Baldan, Aryadi Achmad, Kamrusamad and Syamsul Zakaria, have requested a meeting with Sri Mulyani following her recent statements on Golkar chairman Aburizal Bakrie.

Sri Mulyani was quoted by The Wall Street Journal as saying the inquiry into the controversial Bank Century bailout was an attempt to discredit her by politicians, including Aburizal, who opposed her reform agenda.

Ferry said his group intended to rid Golkar of party members who used the party as a platform to pursue personal interests.

“Discussions with Sri Mulyani are vital. We hope she harbors no suspicions about Golkar,” Ferry, a former legislator, said.
