Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Zhang Qiyue said Monday the under-discussion free trade agreement (FTA) between ASEAN and China would help both sides obtain goods and services and attract investment.
"This FTA will bring many opportunities for both sides. The FTA is not only about goods and commodities, but services and investment," Zhang said in his speech at the Finance Ministry during a loan agreement between the Bank of China and state power firm PT PLN.
Four ministries -- the Finance Ministry, the Trade Ministry, the Industry Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry – are now reviewing the FTA between ASEAN and China and expect an outcome this month, Industry Minister Mohamad Suleman Hidayat said last week.
