Catering to corporate clients

The huge potential of telecommunication and data service usage has prompted mobile operators to rush in to lure as many customers as possible.

The competition can be seen in the promotional programs being offered along with the latest products or services and claims of enhanced network performance.

There is also huge potential in the corporate client segment as modern companies need integrated telecommunication services for their smooth business operations. Corporate clients usually take into consideration the quality of the network infrastructure, such as inquiring about the source of the cable and other factors.

So, there is a major difference between corporate clients and ordinary retail customers, whose numbers increase quickly according to the frequency of usage and population size. Indeed, the number of corporate clients is far below that of retail customers, but their level of loyalty is much higher than retail customers, who often switch operators to follow trends.

XL also offers the Total Corporate Solution, which includes an integrated data and voice service in the form of Corporate GSM as well as fixed lines (Metro-E, MPLS, Leased Line, etc.). All these services are backed with a professional after sales service and dedicated account manager. At the end of first semester of 2009, there were more than 2,900 corporate clients in the trading sector.

Corporate telecommunication business for mobile operators at the end of 2009 remains big. Telkom dominates more than half the market for this segment. Telkom, as the pioneer in corporate telecommunication business, has a specially designed program for corporate clients called the Telkom Solution. This program comprises a systematic solution as follows: Advanced Communication (Basic Voice, Call Center, Audio Conference and Corporate Package), Broadband and Multimedia (Internet Access, Video Conference and DRC), System Automation (Intranet, Extranet, Office Automation and Security System) and Network Controlling and Monitoring (IT Operation and Monitoring System).

Telkom's network is supported by the most sophisticated technology in the form of fiber optic network that connects all the country's islands and a satellite system that covers all the country's regions. Telkom's network is also complemented by Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), which is available in more than 1,400 locations in Indonesia. Indeed, all these facilities make it easier to manage a customized data network for the requirement of prioritized applications.

Telkom Solution has a number of superior features, such as functionality comprising voice, data, video service that supports various business applications. Dial-up access, dedicated or wireless system is also available. It has manageability, which means it is easy to manage several networks in a number of locations that are centralized at a company's headquarters.

Provisioning Scalability is also another unique feature, which means that clients can apply more flexible solutions because the planning and implementation is based on the client's business requirements. Total Cost of Ownership Saving Opportunities is also another plus point, because this program comes at a competitive rate and is supported by highly skilled professionals that are ready to assist their clients through outsourcing.

The high demand of corporate clients for an integrated telecommunication service has indeed presented a unique marketing niche as modern companies need it for the smooth operation of their business.
