JAKARTA: Central Jakarta Police are investigating the death of a woman who allegedly jumped Tuesday from the 27th floor of the Harmoni Apartment block in Gambir, Central Jakarta.

The woman, identified as Linda Sari, 34, a resident of North Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, was found dead on the seventh-floor of the apartment block at 4.30 p.m.

Central Jakarta Police chief detective Comr. Suwondo Nainggolan said no reason had been found for the apparent suicide.

“We’re still at the scene, the woman’s body is also still there,” he said as quoted by vivanews.com.

In the past three weeks, five people have committed suicide by jumping from high places.

On Monday, a woman jumped from the 11th floor of the Gading River View City Home Apartment in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
