Dissemination on military business

JAKARTA: The Defense Ministry is holding a two-day session to disseminate regulations related to the repositioning of cooperatives, foundations and state-owned property of the Indonesian Military (TNI) starting Wednesday.
The session was attended by military business managers in TNI's main commands nationally.
The Defense Ministry Director General of Defense Strength, Maj. Gen. Suryadi, also chairman of the military business controlling team, told participants that the dissemination session was part of the defense minister's 100-day program.
"The team will conduct a field survey in Indonesia to monitor the military business repositioning, to finish in August 2010," he told The Jakarta Post.
Meanwhile, team spokesman Silmy Karim said managers were expected to disseminate regulations to their respective commands and units.
"The managers should take immediate action to reposition the cooperatives, foundations and state-owned properties according to the regulations," he said.
Silmy added the dissemination showed that all military businesses were under the control of the government, in this case the Defense Ministry. - JP
