One killed, another injured in Papua border

One man was killed and another injured on the border between Papua, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea when they were shot at by an unknown group, Papuan Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Agus Rianto said Saturday.

The dead man was identified as Muksin, while man injured was known as Fiadi, kompas.com reported.

Muksin had picked Fiadi up from his office in Papua New Guinea and the two had traveled over to Indonesian territory when the unidentified group attacked them.

The group shot Muksin dead at the scene, but they were only able to shot Fiadi's foot as Fiadi fled into Papua New Guinea territory. Fiadi is currently being treated at Vanimo Hospital.
