Activist strongly criticized the poor progress in Copenhagen talks which would very likely not bind anyone for emission targets, saying it would threat future of next generation.

“They tell us it is over but it is not. The latest Copenhagen Accord draft mainly reproduced what leaders already promised before they arrive here,” WWF leader, Kim Carstensen said.

“A gap between rhetoric and reality could cost millions of lives, hundreds of billions of dollars and a wealth of lost opportunities.”

Leaders of the United States, China, Brazil, India have claimed their closed-door meeting had reach a breakthrough agreement.

Negotiators continue to extend climate talks on Saturday as most of world leaders left Copenhagen.
